Test sets and random questions

Give each respondent their own set of questions in a shuffled order.

The Test sets step defines which questions each respondent gets and in what order.

Question set

  • All questions — every respondent gets every question in the test.
  • Random draw — a set number of questions is drawn at random from each category. For example, 5 from "Aqidah" and 10 from "Fiqh".

Order

  • Shuffle questions — each respondent sees the questions in a different order.
  • Shuffle answer options — true/false and Likert questions keep their order.

A variant is built once when the respondent starts the test and is then saved: their questions stay the same even if they reload the page or lose their connection.

With a random draw, Cronbach's alpha is not calculated because respondents answer different questions. Item analysis is still shown for each question separately.
